The Articles of Incorporation define the basic purpose and structure of the  association

The By-Laws dictate how the association operates (meeting frequency, voting, etc.)

The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs) clarify the rights and obligations that the association has to its members, and vice versa
